First off, biographies about yourself have to be just about the hardest thing ever to write... here's my shot at it:
From a very young age, music has been my passion. I began piano lessons at the age of 3, and drum lessons at the age of 13. I was always interested in various forms of media, as well as music. In 1998, during a summer holiday, I began reading online html tutorials, and by the time school came around again, I was proficient in html, completely self-taught. I decided to combine two of my passions, media and music, and created fan sites for some of my favourite bands.
Eventually, some of my fan sites became more popular than the official bands' sites. My first breakthrough came in April of 2002, when my favourite band, mudmen, asked me to be their official webmaster. I took on the position with delight. Eventually, school took over as the most important thing in my life, so reluctantly, I had to give up the position.
Photography has always been a hobby of mine as well. Photographing bands at concerts is one of my favourite things to do, because I can forever capture the essence of a good show. More than likely, if you're looking for me on a weekend night, you can find me at some dingy club, camera in hand.
Since graduating university (Ryerson University, Radio and Television Arts, class of 2005), I've been fortunate to work at some fabulous places with some fabulous people. Some of my favourite experiences were interning at The Pocket Studios, and of course, all the departments/shows I've worked on at CBC.
Where ever my career takes me, music will be there with me, and I hope to share my passion in some way with the public.
